Focus on Cultural Heritage - Nida Evangelical Lutheran Church Management Works Began2019 03 27
The work of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nida was launched last week (March 18) to reveal the valuable qualities of this unique real cultural heritage. The facades of all four red bricks were restored, the roof-bearing structures were strengthened, the roof tiles of the church tower were replaced, the foundation of the stone masonry was removed from the plaque, the exterior frames of the existing windows were restored, and the existing frameless - replaced with new frames - the main works to be done.
It is expected that the management work will reveal the valuable qualities of this unique real cultural heritage object, will stimulate the interest of the residents and the visitors to the cultural heritage of the Curonian Spit. They will contribute to the development of cultural activities and increase the flow of visitors, thus improving the image of Lithuania as an attractive country for tourism.
